Move new tasks in TickTick based on #tag

I want to move tasks created with a certain tag directly to a specified folder.

My usage scenario is that I create tasks by sending them to my specific ticktick custom email address. When doing this, I can include #tags but cannot specify which folder such tasks should be created in using ~folder.

The tasks therefore are created in my default folder (eg inbox). However I would like them to be moved to another folder (and deleted from inbox) based on the #tag in the email body.

The best I’ve managed is duplicating the task to the desired folder and then marking the original inbox task as complete, but this still leaves a “completed” task sitting in my inbox which I have, in fact, not yet dealt with as there is a duplicate uncompleted task sitting in the specified other folder.

Hi @antonz44

The TickTick API does not mention Folders: https://developer.ticktick.com/api#/openapi

Try reaching out to TickTick Support for possible guidance about the feasibility of what you are trying to do.

If possible, resources for using app APIs in Zaps:
