Hi,

I have a Zap that is trying to lookup a date in a column in Excel but keep getting the error

‘Bargle. We had trouble getting a matching find row. :-(Error details: Nothing could be found for the search.’

even though there definitely is an entry there it could be picking up.

I’ve done a video at https://www.loom.com/share/8e04a5f458e34fc2b7132a871e2f5f26 if anyone might be so kind as to have a look and let me know if I’m doing something wrong and how I could get it working?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Jon

Hi @Jon Hall

Troubleshooting Tips to Try:

  1. Try making sure there’s a value for every cell in that column
  2. Adjust the format of the Date in the Excel and Zap to YYYY-MM-DD
  3. Try setting the format of the column in Excel to be a Date type

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions. I’ve tried tips 1 and 3 and they didn’t change it.

I could change the format of the dates as in tip 3 but it would take a lot of adjusting elsewhere - do you feel this would make it work?

Jon

@Jon Hall

Might be best to open a ticket with Zapier Support to have them troubleshoot further: https://zapier.com/app/get-help

Hi,

I’ve gotten it working by changing the format the date is displayed in in Zapier even though that doesn’t seem to be how it’s displayed in Excel. M/D/YYYY in Zapier picks up the date shown as DD/MM/YYYY in Excel. But it’s working so that’s great :)

Thanks for your help :)

Jon
