Is there an Updated Sales Receipt Trigger for Quickbooks?

There’s Updated Bill, Updated Credit Memo, Updated Customer, Updated Estimate but there’s no Updated Sales Receipt on Quickbooks. Is there any workaround for this?

@jxcheh Whats the workflow you’re trying to build here? Knowing that will help with workaround ideas.

Hi there @jxcheh 👋

I’m not seeing any “Updated Sales Receipt” trigger available for the QuickBooks Online app either so I’d recommend contacting our Support team to put in a feature request for that to be added.

In the meantime, were you able to find a workaround?

If not, and assuming QuickBooks has the ability to send a webhook whenever a sales receipt is updated, then you could potentially use our Webhooks app for the trigger instead. With that approach you’d set up the webhooks to be sent from QuickBooks, over to the a Zap that uses a Catch Hook (Webhooks by Zapier) trigger. You can learn more about how to use Webhooks to trigger a Zap here: Trigger Zaps from webhooks. And QuickBooks has a guide on how to set up webhooks on their end here: https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/qbo/docs/develop/webhooks#endpoints

Keep us posted on your progress, want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂

Hey @jxcheh,

I think the Webhooks will be the best way to get the Updated Sales receipt trigger functionality

Here is a helpful article about using Webhooks in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496083355661-How-to-get-started-with-Webhooks-by-Zapier. Then you can use Catch Hook trigger to catch that webhook in Zapier.

Here you can see Updated Sales receipt Webhook is supported in Quickbooks -

I know this is not as straightforward as the native triggers and can get a bit more technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!
