I note that the feature of looking up a multiple rows in a Zapier Table (via a look up value) is no longer a feature.  If multiple rows are found it would report them out as a line item.

I do note that this is still available as a feature in Google Sheets and it is called “Look Spreadsheet Rows - Advanced”

Is this feature no longer available in Zapier Tables?  If so, what is it now called or how can I implement a work around?

Thanks

Hi @blueguy

Zap action: Tables - Find Records

Check the screenshots below for settings to configure related to returning multiple records.

Ez peazy….I just did not see that….thanks  Troy…..

While we are at what ….qualifies as “return first search result”?  this is a discussion we had before.

Is the first result the last entry into a data table?  Or is it from the bottom of the table to the top?  Or does it search from the top  of the table to the bottom?

Just a curious…

thanks again

@blueguy

That is still very much unclear for all of us.

Wow...that is interesting

It would be nice to know if the search can be controlled or what it actually is….

thanks again

Great question @blueguy! I reached out to the Zapier Tables team about this and they’ve confirmed that search results will be returned based on the record’s created date, newest to oldest.

Hope that clarifies things, but do let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!

Okay, that is good to know.  The newest or most recent is returned first.

Another question, what happens if a record is altered or change?  Does this altered record now become the most recent?

These are good questions!!!

Thanks

Happy to help, @blueguy 🙂

If a record is updated, that won’t change its original created date, so the sort order wouldn’t be affected.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

Very good to know!!!  Actually super helpful.
