Is it possible to start and stop zap using API?

The objective is to start and stop already created ZAP via API calls? Is this possible? Does zapier provide this feature?

Zapier does not have an API for managing Zap Runs in progress.

Zapier Manager is the closest to having options for what you may be looking for:
