Images not transferring from ZAP to Wordpress Post

hi!

I have a ZAP setup to take data from Airtable, and when a new record is created (via a form), it should create a new post in wordpress.

The posts text show up, but not the image.

Ive tried: image URL, image FILE, image FILENAME, etc

When the form is filled out with an image, the image does upload into airtable.

Zapier does see the filename/airtable URL/etc

ZAP completes successfully, creating a new post

image is missing

thank you!

Hi @helpForImages

Good question.

Please post screenshots with how your Zap steps are configured for us to have more context, thanks.

When Zap begins, it has the featured_media data:

When testing is loading, the featured_media is still there, but when it completes “success”!, the featured_media field is 0:

This is the same whether featured_media is from “Featured Media” or “Custom”.

Image DOES successfully transfer to wordpress IF the post type is “Media”, but not if “Posts” or “Pages”.

Zap History example: https://zapier.com/app/history/00be10ff-98cb-ab5a-bb2b-2d4ba99257d1#1=input

thank you!

Have you tried this?

Add a Custom Featured Image to your WordPress Post

In order to take an image from a previous step (like your Trigger, for example) and add it as a featured image on your post, you have to use 2 WordPress steps.

First, you use the 'Upload Media' step to add the image to your WordPress website:

Then, on your 'Create Post' step you make use of the image you just uploaded, by selecting "Use a Custom Value" for the 'Featured Media' field and then using the "Attachment ID":

It worked!! Thank you!!
