I need to know when a payment has been made for a bill in Quickbooks Online, does anyone know if this is possible? Ideally I’d like a trigger for when a bill is paid, but even if I could trigger on a new bank transaction I could work with that. It seems like obvious functionality to have but I can’t find it.

That would involve using QBO Webhooks to be notified when a Bill has been updated to then check it’s status.
OR
The QBO API to query Bills to check their status.

A webhook sounds like a good solution, albeit that it does not look to be straight forward to set up in QBO, at least for a non-developer like me.
