Hubspot deal task association issue in Zapier

I have a Zap, that does a bunch of things in addition, but it creates a deal in Hubspot from a new appointment in Acuity. I want to create a step in that Zap, that creates a task and associates it with that deal. I can get the task created when testing, but for some reason the association is not happening.

Hi @Team ICAgile

Zap Action: HubSpot - Create Associations

If you need more help, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode with the field mappings visible in the CONFIGURE tab.

Thanks. This ended up not being the easiest path. When creating the engagement, you can associate a deal to it. However, it only works if you use the Deal Information: Record ID rather than just the ID.

Thanks for circling back to share this info, @Team ICAgile. Glad to hear the Create Associations action Troy suggested was able to associate the engagement with the deal. And really appreciate you pointing out that using the value in the Deal Information: Record ID field (instead of just the ID) was key to getting it working—definitely something that’ll help others building a similar workflow with HubSpot.

Seems like you’re all set for now, but please do reach back out if you need help with anything else. We’re always happy to assist! 🙂
