How to use Zapier to automate Google Analytics and Instagram insights reports

Morning all.

I am aware of what zapper does, but for the life of me have no experience. I have been working on a marketing automation that I want to use, and the first steps are

  1. Have zapier get last 7 days of statistics from g4 (sesions, users, CTR, Conversions)
  2. Have that info sent to AI to review (chatgpt so far)
  3. Have zappier get last 7 days instagram insights ( I use metricool right now)
  4. Have that sent to AI for review.

Those are the first 2 items on my list. I hvae tried using chatgpt to talk me through it, but it keeps giving me incomplete answers and missing vital essential information

Was looking for some assistance in doing this?

thank you

Hey @bkennedy74,

Can understand how it can get a bit complex using Zapier for the first time. For GA4 you have a native Zapier connection and you can start with the Run report for a Property action to get the details. See more about the integration here- https://zapier.com/apps/google-analytics-4/integrations

This workflow will look something like this Schedule By Zapier trigger →  Run report for a Property action → AI by Zapier action.

Metricool also has a native integration with Zapier and can use Get your Network Metrics Daily Trigger. See more about the integration here- https://zapier.com/apps/metricool/integrations

This workflow will look something like this Get your Network Metrics Daily Trigger → AI by Zapier action. You may have to make multiple Zaps with same trigger to get different metrics. Also if the required metrics are not available directly, you have to look into Metricool API(https://app.metricool.com/resources/apidocs/index.html) to see if it’s available. If accessing the API, you can use Webhooks in Zapier to send a POST request to the endpoint. Here is a helpful article about Webhooks in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496083355661-How-to-get-started-with-Webhooks-by-Zapier

Hope it helps!
