How to update LeadConnector contacts with Calendly triggers in Zapier?

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing an issue with Calendly and Leadconnector within Zapier.

Inside a Zap I want Calendly to trigger when an invitee books an event and cause an action for LeadConnector to update the Invitee’s contactinformation inside Highlevel (LeadConnector) just by adding one tag.

Thing is:
If I update the contact and leave names etc. blank, it will actually update the entire contact leaving all contact informations blank. So i have to fill every information in the contact, which is cool, if I can get the information from somewhere. I cannot use any “Find Contact” in Highlevel (Leadconnector) because it is the Calendly that is the trigger. How do I work around this?

It had been so easy if I could set each blank to “preserve present information”, so it just left it with the original info. The information stored from Calendly is not enough as I have survey informations within the original Highlevel contact I need to keep.

How can I work around this? :)

Hi @Aleksander Skou,

Welcome to the Community.

To add a tag to a Highlevel contact via LeadConnector without overwriting existing information, use this Zapier workaround: after the Calendly trigger, add a 'Find Contact' action in Highlevel to locate the contact using a unique identifier like an email. Store the contact's current information using Zapier's 'Storage' app, then update the contact with the new tag while reapplying the stored data to preserve existing details. Finally, clear the stored values for future Zap runs. This approach helps maintain data integrity despite LeadConnector's limitations.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
