Hi,

I am hoping to set up a zap that looks like this:

  • Trigger: Contact unsubscribes from a sequence in Hubspot
  • Search step: Find contact in Mailchimp
  • Action: Unsubscribe contact from Mailchimp

I cannot find that trigger as an option in Zapier - does anyone know if that is possible?

Hey @Maddie Webb,

Here are all the triggers/  actions for Hubspot in Zapier- https://zapier.com/apps/hubspot/integrations. You can try some of triggers which you think might give you that information.

You may also want to look into Webhooks in Hubspot- https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api-reference/webhooks-webhooks-v4. If that doesn’t expose it as well, you can create a Hubspot workflow to send a webhook to Zapier when there is an Updated Email Status event. I know this can get a bit technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Here is a helpful guide about Webhooks in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496083355661-How-to-get-started-with-Webhooks-by-Zapier. Hope it helps!

@Maddie Webb this trigger would fire every time a contact is unenrolled, but it wouldn’t tell you which sequence they unenrolled from. Would that still be sufficient for what you’re trying to do?

Thank you for your responses! This got me thinking creatively. There is a trigger based off a contact being added to a list, and within Hubspot I can set up a workflow to add people to a list when they unenroll from a sequence, so that should do it I think.

Ah yeah, I wasn’t even thinking about how you could string together Zapier and internal Hubspot workflows, but that makes sense. Glad to hear you figured something out!
