How to text an image as a trigger?

I’m using Twilio as a trigger and see it can handle SMS text messages and voice calls (that get transcribed), but I’m not seeing a “text this image and send it further”.

Does anyone know a workaround for this, or is it a limit?

Hi @TORLEY

To clarify, you want to take a file from the trigger step and use it in the action steps of the Zap?

To help us have full context, post screenshots with how your Zap steps are outlined and configured, along with the DATA OUT from the trigger step being used.

 @Troy Tessalone Yes that’s right. Simply put:

  • With Gmail as Trigger, I can have it feed an attachment (file) to the NEXT step
  • But with Twilio, there is NO image input for a text message attachment.

I just need a way to do that. I want to see a “NEW FILE” option.

Here’s what it looks like in Twilio trigger step, you can see there’s no “NEW FILE”.

@TORLEY

If the inbound SMS has media, then there may be a data point you can map from the Zap trigger: Twilio - New SMS

@Troy Tessalone Alas NO that is not an option. It offers no specific additional data points other than setting the phone number.

@TORLEY

Can you post screenshots of the DATA OUT from that Zap trigger to give us full context?
