How to sync Shopify newsletter subscribers (not customers) to Mailjet?

Hi everyone,

I’ve created an e-shop using Shopify, and I’ve added a newsletter sign-up field in the footer of my website. I'd like to automatically sync these new newsletter subscribers to a contact list in Mailjet using Zapier.

However, when I try to set up the Zap, I only see the trigger “New Customer” — but newsletter subscribers are not always customers. Some people just subscribe to the newsletter without placing any order or creating an account.

Is there a way to detect only new newsletter subscribers (who fill in the footer form) and add them to Mailjet via Zapier?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Shopify might treats a person who sign-up for news-letter as a customer, so you can review the Data-out of new Customer and try finding a field like
accepts_marketing: true
 OR
similar field and add a filter step afterwards which check if the customer has opted_in for marketing like boolean(is true). This will filter only the customers which have opted for the newsletter.
