I’m trying to set up a zap so when a post is published to a specific category on my wordpress site, it triggers a push notification through one signal. The problem is that it’s been sending me the test push every hour, even though there has been no new post in the wordpress category so clearly I am doing something wrong. I am using the advanced one signal push notification because I only want to send the push to a specific segment in onesignal. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @DaveS

It may be related to your Filter conditions.

To help you troubleshoot, check your Zap Runs history details to see the DATA IN/OUT for each step: https://zapier.com/app/history/

So it appears that it’s definitely a filter problem. I’m kinda lost though. How can I set up a filter that only passes if a wordpress post is made in a specific category?

@DaveS

Post screenshots from the Zap Run showing the DATA OUT returned from Zap step 1.

So I changed the filter to terms slug exactly matches detroit-lions-breaking-news, which is the slug for the category I’m trying to filter. I think that did the trick! Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it.

Wow! Thank you for confirming that your resolution got the Zap running. This will significantly help our Community members to have as a reference for the same issue.
