Has anyone added NetDocuments using their API? I want to move documents saved in Actionstep to a specific NetDocuments folder. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hello… neither Actionstep nor NetDocuments have native Zapier zaps, so you'd need to use the Webhooks by Zapier action to hit both APIs directly. The general flow would be: trigger from Actionstep via webhook or API call to retrieve the document, then use a second API call to POST it to the correct NetDocuments folder using their REST API. The main challenge is handling the document as a binary file between the two calls, which requires a bit of setup.

Hey @sdck,

Here are all the triggers/actions for Actionstep in Zapier- https://zapier.com/apps/actionstep/integrations

As you can see, there no native triggers available for Created document in Actionstep in Zapier. But there is a workaround by creating a Webhook in Actionstep and catching that in Zapier. See the Actionsteps webhooks documentation here- https://docs.actionstep.com/webhooks/. Here is a helpful article about Webhooks in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496326446989-Send-webhooks-in-Zaps

For NetDocuments, I can see that there is no native Zapier integration and I was not able to find any public API. But if they offer an public API with an endpoint for uploading documents, then you can upload the documents to NetDocuments using Zapier.

I know it can get a bit more technical and complex but if it’s important for you, you can give this approach a try. Hope it helps!
