In Slack:

  1. Permanent message in info channel by a bot that has a dropdown option box
  2. When clicked on box it opens to show multiple options
  3. When option is selected the bot sends a temporary message in the info channel
  4. Others cannot see that message and the message goes away after 1 hour

Hey Dylan!

It looks like you might be able to achieve this workflow with a Slack app or automation. I found a thread in Stack Overflow mentioning a similar workflow with some options here.

From Zapier, you can post messages in public or private channels, but those are visible to anyone on those channels. Currently, the integration doesn’t support ephemeral messages because Slack’s API does not support retrieving these messages due to it’s temporary nature
