Hi guys!

I only sell 1 product on my website (yearly subscriptions)

I am correctly using a flow that creates e-invoices and sends them to customer when the customer STARTS a subscription. I’m using the Stripe trigger “Checkout session completed” on Zapier for this, and then send all the infos to my invoicing software solution.

But how about subscriptions renewal? Does this trigger event also works for renewals? If not, which other event should i use to get payment info and send invoices on renewals?

Thanks everyone for the help!

Marco

Hey @DreamersCommunity, welcome to the Community! 🎉

Not sure if you’ve already found the answer but if not, the Checkout Session Completed trigger would only run when the subscription is first purchased through your Stripe checkout.

Perhaps you could use the New Payment trigger instead? I’d have thought that should be able to see both the initial subscription payment, as well as any renewal payments captured by Stripe.

Keep us posted on how you get on, want to make sure you’re all set! 🙂

Hi @SamB !

Thanks a lot for getting back to me. Yeah, fixed everything with the New Payment option as a trigger, and then filtering the payment only when it comes through a renewal :)

Have a great day!

Marco

Yay! 🎉 Sorry for the delay in my reply here @DreamersCommunity. I’m so glad you were able to fix it using the New Payment trigger and a filter - great work! 🙌

Hope you have a great rest of your week!
