How to filter recent Reddit posts in Zapier based on search keywords

I am trying to make a Zap that only returns recent Reddit posts matching my selected keywords.

I assumed that the Zap would only return posts that have been made since the last search but it’s acting a bit random, some results are the most recent and others are months old.

The only timestamp data provided is for UTC. How can I ensure only posts made since the last check move from the trigger to the action step? Preferably would like to make sure this doesn’t double (or more) the task usage of the Zap, which currently only has one action (posts result to Slack channel).

Hi there @jordanpope,

Before we dig deeper into this, would you mind sharing a detailed screenshot of how your Zap is configured? Also, please share a screenshot of the CONFIGURE section of the Reddit step.

Please don't include personal information in the screenshot, or be sure blur out any personal information.

Thanks!

Hey @jordanpope 👋

Just came across this and wanted to recommend that you reach out to our Support team to have this investigated. If the New Post Matching Search trigger is triggering on old posts it’s already ‘seen’ then it’s likely a bug that you’re running into here. If it is a bug, then they’ll be able to open up a bug report on your behalf so that our engineers can work on getting it fixed.

Keep us posted on how you get on with them, want to ensure this gets sorted. 🙂
