I want to start off zapping with this connexion which have actually made with books and ecwid.

today I am creating a new customer in books, which require quite a few variables to action on an invoice -to create a new customer from a paid order in ecwid

one variable that is required is country so it appears that you have to make a zap for every paid order unless you do one for every country in the world

any ideas would be very helpful

Zoho Books requires the country field to be in a specific format, typically the full country name. To ensure consistency and avoid creating separate Zaps for each country, you can use Zapier's "Formatter" utility to standardize the country input:

  • Add a Formatter Step:

    • Choose "Formatter" and then "Utilities."
    • Select "Lookup Table."
    • Set Up Action:
      • Lookup Key: Map the country code or name from Ecwid.
      • Lookup Table: Create a table that translates country codes or variations into the standardized country names as required by Zoho Books.
      • Fallback Value: Set a default value (e.g., "United States") in case the country isn't found in your lookup table.
  • In the "Create Customer" action, use the output from the Formatter step for the country field.
