How to cancel an active event once it has been triggered?

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it is possible to cancel an active event once it has been triggered?

Let me give some detail on this:

When someone signs up to my Mailchimp list, I want to have a zap that is immediately triggered but has a delay on the event so that it will send an SMS message to me 24 hours from the trigger point. I’m pretty confident this can be done.

The part I’m unsure about is this. If that same person who signed up to my mailchimp list then schedules a meeting with me on Calendly (assuming same email address), within that 24-hour period, I want to cancel the SMS notification that is currently waiting in situ within Zapier.

Its the automated cancellation part that I’m unsure about.

Many thanks

Ryan

Hi @rgregory

Good question.

That will involve a different approach.

You will need to log the Calendly data in a GSheet or Airtable.

Then after the Delay step you can add a Find step to see if there is a matching row/record.

Add a Filter step to only continue if there is no match found.

Hi Troy

Thank you so much for this! That sounds awesome!

I will give it a go!

cheers
