How to Automate Universities Information Updates with Zapier?

Hi everyone,

I run a universities information website where I share admission updates, scholarships, entry test news, and course details for students. I want to automate my workflow using Zapier.

My goal is to collect updates from sources like RSS feeds, Google Sheets, or emails and automatically publish them to my website or social media pages. I also want to avoid duplicate posts and organize updates by university name.

I’ve already tried basic RSS-to-Google Sheets automation, but managing multiple sources is becoming difficult.

Has anyone here created a similar Zapier automation for an educational or universities information website? Any workflow suggestions or recommended apps would be appreciated.

Hi there @Azlanshah, welcome to the Community! 😁

Can you tell us a bit more about the RSS-to-Google Sheets automation you’ve created? For example, is it triggering on new RSS feed items across multiple feeds and adding them into Google Sheets? If so, and duplicate rows are appearing as multiple feeds contain the same item, you might want to try adding a Lookup Spreadsheet Row action to search for the same post title or URL in an existing row. That sort of search action has the option to create a new row only if no match is found, which should help to prevent duplicates.

To organize posts by university name, you could try using Paths by Zapier. It would let you add conditional branching logic to handle posts differently based on certain conditions (like a specific keyword) in the article title or description, so you could route and tag them by a specific university name.

Not sure what your website is built on, if it’s not one of the website apps we currently support you could potentially use Webhooks by Zapier to publish them on your website. And there’s a bunch of social media apps that we integrate with that you could use for this.

Once we have a bit more context on your current setup, what the website is built on and what social media apps you want to post to we can better offer some more specific advice.
