How does Zapier create new records in Salesforce?

I have several zaps connecting from FB/Instagram to salesforce through zapier, but i dont know how it actually works.

Does Zapier connects to an API to create a lead (like other sources do like a webform) or it uses the account setup in the salesforce connection and adds a new row in the leads table with the fields configured in the zap?

I havent been able to identify if it uses an api or where to change that.

My company is changing the api that all our systems use to connect to salesforce (with new fields that need to be part of the request for example), but i dont know if i need to do anything on zapier for this to be alligned too.

Hi @Santiago M

Think of Zap apps as just interfaces for an app’s APIs.

Make sure to review the available help articles for Salesforce’s Zap app integration: https://zapier.com/apps/salesforce/help
