Question

How do I unsubscribe a new student from my email sales sequences in ConvertKit when they enroll in a course on Teachable?

Hi team,

I’m trying to make Zapier connect to teachable so that once a new student enrolls in a course (pays at teachable), they are unsubscribed from my email sales sequences in ConvertKit.

I’m not sure this is a regular support that can actually see my account? If not, I did this…

Trigger = New Enrollment in Teachable

Action = Add a tag “Enrolled” in ConvertKit

I then went into convertkit and made a rule that whenever the tag “Enrolled” is added, the user is unsubscribed from my sales sequences.

Is this correct?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi @nibrawha

Good question.

When in doubt, test it out.

Try turning your Zap ON and testing, then check your Zap Runs to see the history details, which will show the DATA IN/OUT for each Zap step.

Also check the results in Teachable and ConvertKit.

That’s great thanks. I tested and it works. Is it possible to make it so that the trigger is for enrollment in a specific course at teachable? Right now it seems that any enrolment triggers the action.

Hi @nibrawha

You can add a Filter as step 2: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help

Zaps with 3+ steps will require a Zapier paid plan.

I tried adding the filter but I don’t see the different courses I have. Currently I have 3 courses in Teachable under one school. When I go to add the filter, I don’t see all of my courses there. It says “Object Course ID 838887” which is the only ID for a course, and “Object Course NameThe Complete SEO Course By: Goats On The Road” which is only one of my 3 courses in the Teachable School.

How would this filter work? Can I create a 3 step zap with the free version?

In the filter, on the left side you select the variable that has the data you want to check, then on the right side you set the static value you want to check the variable against.
