Question

How do I transfer Pass ID data from JotForm to SmartSheets using Zapier?

I am having a bit of a brain drain day.  I am using JotForm to collect some id information.  One of the pieces of information is a Pass ID number.  I want to be able to take the information entered from JotForm (which the pass number will be entered by the individiual filling out the form) and pass it along through Zapier to SmartSheets (our organization wont let me directly access SmartSheets but will allow Zapier to do it I believe).  I want to be able to take that pass number which is prepopulated in SmartSheets and update the record with the user information collected in JotForm.

Hi @rvjinwi, welcome to the Zapier Community👋

Could you let us know if you’re already working on a Zap? If so, could you send over some screenshots of your setup, with any sensitive/personal information censored, including the data that’s pulled in from your JotForm trigger, please?

If you haven’t started a Zap yet, I believe you’ll want to use the “New Submission” trigger for the Jotform integration.

You’ll then want to test your trigger to see if the Pass ID number shows up in the data pulled in from JotForm.

If it is available, you can have a look at our Actions available for the SmartSheet integration and select one as your second Zap step, such as the “Add Row to Sheet”.

Here is a great resource about mapping data between steps:

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions😊
