I want to edit a lengthy (existing) lookup table (in a Utilities step). What is the method to export the existing values into a csv file (or the like), and then import the edited table values back into the same step?

Good question.
You would have to do it manually as there is no export option.
That is one of the reasons why I generally use a different app for lookup tables.
