Question

How do I set a Zapier trigger for paid HubSpot invoices via Stripe to create shipments with more data?

Hubspot offers invoicing on their platform through a Stripe integration. I am trying to set a trigger for Zapier to be when an invoice has been paid through HubSpot. I tried this through Stripe but not enough data comes through to create shipments. How can you modify these triggers?

Hi @tonyzaptony

Try this Zap trigger: Stripe - Checkout Session Completed

The response data should include info about the related Invoice.

Doesn’t seem to work as such since hubspot doesn’t send enough information through to Stripe. That’s why I am looking at doing it directly from invoicing in hubspot. Any suggestions?

@tonyzaptony

Is there enough data sent from HubSpot to Stripe to be able to lookup the invoice in HubSpot to get more details?

Would probably have to use the HubSpot API to get more info about the Invoice:

https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/api/commerce/invoices

Zap action: HubSpot - API Request

OR

Zap action: create a custom action with the help of AI

Hi @tonyzaptony! 👋

Were you able to get the necessary information from HubSpot using a Custom Action or API Request action at Troy suggested?

Happy to assist further if you ran into any issues on that - just let us know! 🙂
