Question

How do I send Queried data from Google BigQuery to Slack using Zapier?

Hi,

I am wondering if it’s possible to send the data I queried from BigQuery to Slack by using the “Send a Message” action?

We are monitoring a few metrics on a daily basis and we want these metrics to be displayed in Slack for the relevant people to see.

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Uri

Hi there @Uri Barcelona,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

Here is how I see the Zap for the workflow that you have in mind:

  1. Trigger: Google Big Query - Query Job Completed (With Row Data)
  2. Action: Slack - Send Channel Message

You can check out suggested workflows for Google BigQuery and Slack from our website: https://zapier.com/apps/google-bigquery/integrations/slack

Hopefully, this helps!

Hi @ken.a,

Yes, I tried using this approach, but it seems like the message can’t contain whatever it is I queried from Google Big Query. Did I miss anything?

What I was hoping to do is query, for example, the number of new clients acquired for the day and include that in the Slack message. Is this possible with the appraoch you suggested?

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Uri

Hi @Uri Barcelona,

I haven’t used Google Big Query myself, but I believe the “Query Job Completed (With Row Data)” is the correct trigger for your workflow.

If you’d like help setting up your workflow, I’d recommend reaching out to one of our certified Zapier Experts. You can reach out to our Zapier Experts here: https://zapier.com/experts

Hopefully, this helps!
