How do I restrict Zapier execution to specific changes in the Notion database?

Hi! I've created task board in Notion and want to integrate it with Google Task using Zapier. Idea is to create todos whenever I move task into In Progress column.

As far as I've tested it Zapier action supports trigerring on item update, but sadly it is executed on every update. So if I move task from In Progress to Done I get new task as well.

Do you have any idea how to restrict executions only to certain changes in database?

Hi @Sivar,

I’m not sure if your trigger can focus on specific changes, but you can use a Filter action.

Here is a help article for you on the matter:

https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496276332557#1-add-a-filter-step-0-0

The basic idea is that you only want the Zap to continue if it is the In Progress column.

Hope that helps!

Thanks! It looks that it will get the job done.

I’m currently on free tier as I'm checking out if Zapier will be able to help me with my projects, so I'm not able to run multi steps zaps, so I've missed the filter step. But there is some trial period, isn't it? I guess I will start it and test by myself.
