I know how to enter a gift in Givebutter and have it create a sales receipt in QBO, but how do I go the other way? 

For example: Jane Doe is a monthly donor who automatically gives via paypal each month. I have a recurring sales receipt transaction set up in QBO. How do I get that gift to reflect in the donor record on Givebutter? I have tried setting up a zap, but it’s not working.

The Givebutter Zap app integration only has 1 Action: Create Contact

Just came across your post and wanted to also suggest reaching out to our Support team here to submit a feature request for the ability to record transactions in GiveButter. Submitting a feature request will help flag the need for that action to the GiveButter app developers, so they can consider building it.

In the meantime, did you have any success with Troy’s suggestion of using GiveButter’s API in a Zap? It looks like you might be able to record a transaction for a donor using their Create a Transaction API endpoint via a Webhooks action. Webhooks are a bit more advanced but we’re happy to lend a hand if you run into any issues—and as Troy mentioned, there’s a directory of certified Zapier Solution Partners that can help too! 🙂
