Hi Community,

I’d like to do the following:

  1. A lead is received in an external tool (Heyflow) and sent to Zapier
  2. The data stored in a table
  3. An ascending file number is generated for each lead (e.g. “AZ_DL_[NUMBER]”.

How can I do that?

Cheers and Thanks a ton!

Hi @ssielmann

Good question.

One approach would be to use Airtable to log the data.

Airtable has these field types:

Thanks :) Can I do this without using Airtable?

This approach is where I am right now:

  1. Create an own table with only a count
  2. Increment this number each time a value is added to the list of cases

…this works so far.

Now I want to use this number to create the file number: AZ_DL_[NUMBER]

The only thing that I would need to do is extract this newly updated number from the helper table and put it into the case table. But - this I don’t manage to do. 🤔

Achieved it - could just use the “Update Record” feature.
