Question

How do I dynamically read newly uploaded Microsoft Excel file from OneDrive?

Hi Zap Community

I want to be able to read a newly uploaded excel file in onedrive and it should be dynamic since I will be uploading multiple excel files on that folder. I want to find the rows meeting a specific Lookup value using Microsoft Excel as my App

Im confused in the part where I configure the Microsoft Excel App and my action event is “Find Rows”. How can I be able to setup Folder, Spreadsheet, Worksheet and Lookup Column? How can I set those fields dynamically using the fields from the newly uploaded excel file?

The help is much appreciated

Hi @Lukibells14,

Welcome to the Community.

To dynamically read new Excel files uploaded to OneDrive and find specific rows, set OneDrive as the trigger using the "New File in Folder" event. Then, add a Microsoft Excel action with the "Find Rows" event. In the Excel step, use the file from the OneDrive trigger, specify the worksheet (ensuring consistent or predictable naming), and set the lookup column. For reliable results, all Excel files should share a consistent structure.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or need more assistance, feel free to ask.
