How do I delete a text after a detected phrase using Zapier?

Hi, I’d like zapier to delete the rest of the text after a phrase that it detects.

Example: after it detects a word “dog” in a sentence, it will leave the beginning, but delete “dog” and everything that follows.

I tried using formatter by zapier and filter by zapier, but I could’t do it.

Thanks for your help :))

Hi @Franek

This can be done in different ways:

  1. formatter by Zapier can do that if you choose the event Text and the Transform “Split Text” with the separator being “dog” and the Segment Index being First.
  2. You can always use Code by Zapier if you want to do some advance editing
