Hi @Goldwing60,

Welcome to the Community.

Automating recipe posts to your website with Zapier is easier than it seems. Start by identifying where your recipes are stored (like Google Sheets) and what platform your website uses (for example, WordPress or Wix). Create a Zapier account, then set up a Zap with your recipe source as the trigger (for example, a new row in Google Sheets) and your website as the action (for example, create a post in WordPress). Map the recipe fields accordingly, test the Zap to ensure it works, and turn it on. You can explore features like formatting, adding images, or filtering specific recipes as you get more comfortable.

Dank, ik ga ermee aan slag. heb je een voorbeeld hoe zo’n rij in Excel eruit ziet? Ik heb namelijk ingrediënten en bereidingsstappen.

Thanks, I'll get started on it. Do you have an example of what such a row looks like in Excel? I have ingredients and preparation steps.

Hi @Goldwing60,

If you're organizing recipes in Excel, structure your spreadsheet with columns like Recipe Name, Ingredient, Quantity, Unit, Preparation step Number, Description, and Notes. Each row should represent a single ingredient or step, ensuring consistency and clarity. Use unique identifiers like the recipe name and step number to keep everything linked. This setup makes managing and automating workflows easy, such as sending data to other apps via Zapier.

No, not yet. I'd like to create a Zap that reads my email. If the subject is "recipe," I want it to automatically post a new recipe on my website. I've experimented with this, but it keeps picking the wrong message page. One page has short messages, and the other has my recipes. I'll keep working on it to make it work :)

Hi @Goldwing60,

Here are some tips to improve your Zap. Make sure the trigger is set to only activate for emails with the subject "recipe," and refine filters to avoid picking up unrelated messages. You can filter by sender or keywords, use a separate folder or email account for recipe submissions, and use an email parser to extract only the needed content. Test with sample emails to fine-tune your setup, and double-check that your action steps correctly post the recipe to your site.
