Hi guys,

I'm creating a Zap triggered in a Google Calendar event, which action is to send an email in Gmail.

How can I attach a file in the email? the Attachment field wouldn't work well.

Thanks.

Hi @Dioscorides!

I can think of at least one workaround here. Before I explain it, could I ask why adding an attachment in the attachment field of a Gmail Send Email action wouldn’t work the way that you need it to?

You could save the file in Google Drive using the Upload File action and then either use the url in the attachment field of the Send Email action or include a sharing link to the file in the body of the email.

I hope that's clear, please let us know if you have any questions!

Hi @Danvers !

The file is uploaded in One Drive. I pasted a shareable link in the “Attachments” field, but in the Test Zap there is nothing attached in the email but an empti .aspx Doc. Note the file i’m trying to attach it’s an excel sheet.

Thank you very much!

Hey there, @Dioscorides! Ah, thanks for clarifying!

In this case, you could still use the shareable link in the body of the email as Danvers mentioned! Do you think that could work?
