Hi,
I’m trying to use Zapier to take content from ChatGPT and automatically create new items in a Notion database, but I’ve run into a few roadblocks and could use some clarity.
ChatGPT kept telling me it could be done, but after spending the whole day on it, I still haven’t found a working trigger.
Here’s what I’ve tried:

Webhook Trigger
I learned ChatGPT can’t actually trigger a Zapier webhook, so this didn’t work. -
Email Parser
I tried sending formatted text to the Email Parser, but the fields wouldn’t map correctly into Notion. -
Zapier AI Actions
These don’t allow creating a new row/item inside a Notion database with custom properties — only basic pages.
At this point, I’m just trying to understand:
Is there ANY supported method for getting ChatGPT to automatically trigger a Zap that creates a structured Notion database item?
Or is this simply not possible right now?
