Givebutter to Constant Contact Zap – Successful test but no new contacts syncing

I’ve spent about three hours today trying to create a workflow with Zapier and I just cannot figure it out.

I’m trying to zap emails from Give Butter into Contstant Contact.  I created a work flow and my ‘test’ went through successfully, but since then, I’ve added other contacts into Give Butter and they have not been pushed through.  I do have the Zapier set up to check for new contacts every two minutes.

Is there a YouTube video or some other resource that will give me exact, step by step directions?  I’ve seen ‘general’ steps online that leave a lot of information out.

Hi @MercyMall

Check your Zap Run history for activity and errors: https://zapier.com/app/history/

For us to have more info, post screenshots showing how your Zap steps are outlined and configured in EDIT mode.

Following are screen shots of the steps of my Zap.  Specifically, I want to transfer those contacts in Give Butter who have been tagged to receive our newsletter into Constant Contact.

Again, the test went through, but I manually entered a person’s name in Give Butter and they have not been pushed through.

Any insight is appreciated!

@MercyMall

Zaps trigger while turned ON for new data going forward.

The Zap trigger being used is: Givebutter - New Transaction

Have there been new transactions in Givebutter since the Zap was turned ON?

Check your Zap Runs history details to see activity to help you troubleshoot: https://zapier.com/app/history/

The toggle is set to ON (green).

Does Give Butter only push through transactions that are finical in nature?  This could be the issue.

We are a non profit that uses Give Butter for donor management, but also use Give Butter to track the names and email addresses of supporters who would like to sign up for different emails we send out.  These supporters don’t always make a financial donation, but ask to be added to an email list and we’ve been keeping track of them in Give Butter.  We hand type their name and contact information into Give Butter. Is it possible that it’s not going to push through these email addresses since they aren’t a ‘financial’ transactions?

To answer your question from above, we have not received a financial donation in the past 6 or so hours since I’ve started trying to figure all of this out, so I’m not able to test it.  But I have hand-typed a few names and email addresses into Give Butter and those were not pushed through.

Update.  So I just made a donation to our non-profit and my email address was pushed from Give Butter to Constant Contact.  I guess the next step is to look into how I can get email addresses pushed through that are not attached to a financial ‘transaction’.

@MercyMall

Try this…

Info about Givebutter webhooks: https://help.givebutter.com/en/articles/8828428-how-to-automate-workflows-and-data-using-webhooks

Zap trigger: Webhook - Catch Hook

This will generate a unique webhook URL to configure in Givebutter.
