Form to Constant Contact - How do i update list if contact found + create contact if contact not found

I used paths to say “if they choose this option they go into this list, if they choose that option they go into that list” Works, sometimes. I have set as “Find or Create Contact” so it only works if I’m “creating a new contact” If it finds a contact, then it assumes the action is complete (and doesn’t update to include in the selected email list).

Should I duplicate this Zap? One for Find or Create, the other for Update Contact?

What is the right way to set this up?

Hi @amberrockey

If it’s like this:

Form

Find or Create Contact

Update contact list

Paths

It shouldn’t be an issue, just map the ID from Find or Create Contact to Update Contact action and it will solve it.

This was helpful now it works to update existing contacts with the right mailing list and it also creates a contact if none is found BUT it will not assign a mailing list to newly created contacts.
