Hello Community!
We are working through a scenario with a Fathom <> Zapier <> Slack workflow utilizing Fathom’s Team Calls function that aggregates all external meeting recordings and summaries into our company’s Team Call repository.
Goal:
Set up a Fathom <> Slack push channel where external meeting summaries are pushed to slack for general visibility in Slack.
Sub-Goal:
Currently, Fathom only allows users to push all External calls by default to the Team Calls Folder, and then manually flip them to “No Team Visibility” after the call has ended. In the case where there is an external call that we don’t want pushed to the Slack channel via Zapier, we need to find a way to time delay the Zapier workflow so that the call is not pushed to slack automatically, and the user has time to move the call from their Fathom Team Folder to Fathom My Folder
Blocker/Issue:
The Fathom app on Zapier today requires you to pull data from the “Team Calls” folder. Fathom is also limited only to the first trigger step in a Zap. Thus I cannot add a time delay or scheduling step BEFORE the Fathom trigger to allow users to manually pull calls OUT of the Team Calls Folder and into their own Personal folder before the zap runs and pushes their meeting recording to a public Slack channel.
Scenario / Example that we have tested:
Current Zapier Setup:
Fathom Trigger on Team Calls New Meeting Summary→ Time Delay for 10 minutes → Filter Conditions (external calls only) → Send Slack Channel Message
- User A - records a call using Fathom with an external party, but the call should be private
- Fathom captures the call in the Team Calls folder automatically
- User A - manually flips the call to “no team visibility” in Fathom
- Zapier will still pick up that call and send it to Slack, because the time delay cannot come BEFORE Fathom trigger.
Has anyone tried to do a similar set up and come across the same issues? Appreciate any help or insight - thank you!
