If the LLM selected in AI by zapier fails, there should be a fallback feature. 

 

LLM failures are happening more and more due to increased usage.  Just got a new error today: Gemini LLM Pro overloaded, please try again later.

 

Most common failure is timed out.

 

How can we get this feature added to roadmap?

Just came across this and couldn’t see any feature request submitted for a fallback to be feature to be added to the AI by Zapier app. Would be great to have that added so please do submit that to our Support team as Troy suggested. 🙏

In the meantime, wanted to suggest that you might want to give our error handler feature a try. With it, you could run another AI by Zapier action that has with a different LLM selected if the one using Gemini errors. You can learn more about it here: Set up custom error handling.

Another option worth looking at is Autoreplay. It doesn’t provide a fallback as such, but it will automatically retry the same step, so if the error was temporary it should go through successfully a bit later on.
