i just wanted to ask what IS and ISN’T allowed in terms of using zapier to help businesses automate their workflow

I heard some people say its against Tos and some people say it would only work on higher plans (teams i think)

in my situation i planned on being in full control of the zapier account and handle everything for the client but im open to any suggestions or advice

Hi @Mike Mok,

Welcome to the Community.

Zapier is a powerful tool for automating workflows as long as usage aligns with Zapier's Terms of Service and connected apps. You can manage a client's account, but ideally, clients should own accounts that process their data to maintain control and privacy. While advanced features are available on higher-tier plans like Teams, many businesses find lower-tier plans sufficient for their needs.

I hope this clarifies things for you, but please don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your response and i read the terms of service but in your reply you said “You can manage a client's account, but ideally, clients should own accounts”

1. so are you saying it is allowed for me to create and manage the account for each client with their consent and it wont show up as a red flag that im using multiple accounts on the same ip

2.  Correct me if im wrong, am i able to do what i described above with the professional plan right and not just the team plan?

Hi @Mike Mok,

Thank you for your follow-up questions. I'm happy to clarify:

  1. Yes, you can create and manage accounts for each client with their consent. However, it's essential that each client is aware of and agrees to the terms of service. As long as using multiple accounts does not violate our terms of service, it should not raise any red flags.
  2. Regarding your second question, yes, you can manage multiple accounts on the Professional and Team plans. The Team plan does offer additional features that might be beneficial for managing multiple accounts, such as shared app connections and folders, but it's not a requirement.

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more, please don't hesitate to ask.
