Does a Transfer leave original data in the source App?

I need to know if the data remains in the source App after a Transfer (copy over), or does it move the data over (removes from source app).

For example, if I transfer existing subscriber records from Mailchimp into Quickbooks, do the subcriber records remain as is in Mailchimp?

Yes, the data remains in the Source app.
