I am a brand new Zapier user. I use Zoho Creator and want to use Zapier to send out emails in Outlook when certain fields within an existing record are updated. For example, when an account is marked “paid”, I want Outlook to send out an automatic “thank you” letter to the payor.

 

The trouble is that when I go to create my “Trigger” in Zoho Creator, the only option I see is New Record. I don’t see how to make my trigger event something like “Update field in Record”, and then allow me to identify which Zoho form and which field would be the trigger. 

Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can create a Trigger Event in Zoho Creator other than just “New Record”?

You will have to explore using native Zoho Creator workflow automation to trigger a Zap.

Try this Zap action: Webhook - Catch Hook

This will generate a unique webhook URL that you can use to configure Zoho Creator to fire with a data payload if Zoho Creator can fire webhooks.

Thank you very much - this is even better than using Zapier! No need to need to link my Outlook! 

Wow! Thank you for confirming that Troy’s resolution got the Zap running. This will significantly help our Community members to have as a reference for the same issue.

Well, actually that is not the case. Instead, it made me realize I didn’t need to link Outlook in order to get Creator to send automatic emails on record updated triggers. So I am not using Zapier for this solution - I am just working within Creator and yes, this solution worked!
