How can I create a Zap for Copper CRM:

  1. Trigger: The field “Contact Type” for a specific company is changed
  2. Action: The related people’s “Contact Type” of that specific company is also changed

Hi @Zick KieL

Review the available Copper Zap app triggers/actions: https://zapier.com/apps/copper/integrations#triggers-and-actions

NOTE: Contact Type appears to be related to a Person not a Company, so there may not be an available trigger that you are seeking.

Also, if you were to use this Zap trigger: Copper - Updated Contact Type

You would then need to find the related Company.

From the Company, it may return the related Persons.

Then you would use “Looping - Create Loop from Line Items” to iterate thru each Person to “Update Person”.

BUT, be careful as that could cause an infinite loop, because the “Update Person” to change the Person Contact Type, is the same event as the Zap trigger step.

Info about infinite loops in Zapier: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496232045453-Zap-is-stuck-in-a-loop
