Creating a shared drive with the google drive zap

I just wanted to create a new “shared drive” with the google drive zap when a new customer is created in our CRM. Now it seems that I can only create new folders (private or within a shared drive) but not a new shared drive (formerly team drives) itself. The Google Drive API3 supports this function. Does anyone has an idea how to solve this challenge?

This is not an action that Zapier supports. If the Google Drive API supports it. You can explore developing a custom integration with Zapier (https://developer.zapier.com/) and Google (https://console.cloud.google.com/) 

It can also be done with Google Scripts. Or you can try using Google Drive’s Add File Sharing Preference action

Hi there! I wanted to pop in and mention it looks “Create Shared Drive” action is an open feature request for Google Drive. While we don’t have an estimate on when or if this will be implemented, we’ll be sure to keep this thread updated if it is. 🙂
