Question

Converting Google Doc to XML when dropped into Google Drive folder

Hello,

While googling, it mentioned that Zapier could change the extension of a file when it is dropped into a folder on google drive.

I have used Zapier many times with my previous job, but this one has some different requirements.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible when changing the extension to a .xml file from a Google .doc file?

If so, can it be accomplished with the free plan or does it require a paid for plan and if so which one?
I can’t seem to find this in the pricing area, nor can we call and speak to someone and I am on a deadline.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @MusicIsLife

Good question.

Try these Zap steps:

  1. Trigger: GDrive - New File in Folder
  2. Action: GDrive - Upload File

There are different factors to whether you need a paid plan, such as volume of Zap Runs, etc.

When in doubt, test it out.

Thank you ! I will test it all out once I get the technical side finished!
