Connecting WhatsApp Business API with Zapier chatbot for automated messaging

Welcome to the Community.

Zapier doesn't currently offer direct integration with the WhatsApp Business API due to WhatsApp's restrictions, which limit API access to medium and large businesses through approved providers. However, you can connect WhatsApp to Zapier indirectly through third-party services like Twilio. While this may not be ideal, it's currently the only available option. If WhatsApp updates its policies, Zapier may explore a direct integration.

Hi ​@andrei pasca,

The WhatsApp Notification app only sends a message to your WhatsApp account and not to your customers. You can read more about that here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/19805639844621-Send-messages-in-Zaps-using-WhatsApp

I believe you can use Webhooks by Zapier as a workaround and use this API docs from WhatsApp: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/whatsapp/cloud-api/reference/messages

Please note, Webhooks by Zapier is considered an advanced feature, so our support for it may be more limited. Not because we don't want to help, but because APIs can be so different and each request can be so unique. This makes it hard for us to know why the request may be receiving errors or not working as expected.
