Goal: When a team member posts in a certain slack channel, it gets sent to Notion as a “new page” and tracks the answer within the slack post. We are hoping to take slack questions and turn them into Help Center articles.

I understand how to build the Zap with the triggers and Slack + Notion are connected, but I just need help with how to get the slack post to added as a new Notion page under a parent page

  • How do I create the Notion page to gather slack questions and answers and post them in one place?
  • How / where do I create create the parent page in Notion?

(chatGPT adds on are a plus! 😊)

Hi samanthawest,

To set this up, first create a parent page manually in Notion where you want all Slack questions to be stored—this will act as the Help Center. In your Zap, use the "Create Database Item" or "Create Page" action in Notion and select that parent page as the destination. You can map the Slack message text to the content fields, and optionally use ChatGPT (via Zapier’s OpenAI integration) to auto-generate summaries or answers before adding them to Notion.

Hi there @samanthawest 👋

Just wanted to check how you got on with jhon_739’s instructions here—did they help to point you in the right direction?

Happy to lend a hand if you’re still stuck at all, just let us know!
