Question

Can I use a negative time if I want to trigger something AFTER a Google calendar event starts?

The Google Calendar has a trigger that is “Event Start”. But I want the action to happen 75 minutes after the event starts. If I put -75 minutes, will it trigger at the correct time?

Hi @nelbro,

Welcome to the Community! 🎉

I believe this isn’t possible since the “Event Starts” trigger triggers when a specified amount of time before an event starts. I believe you can use Delay by Zapier as a workaround here.

You can learn more about Delay by Zapier here: https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496288754829-Add-delays-to-Zaps

Hope, this helps!

Hey @nelbro, just checking in!

How did you get on with Ken’s suggestion of using a Delay action for this—did that do the trick?

Let us know if you need any more help! 🙂

Yes! I set the trigger as 1 minute before the Google event starts, then delayed for 76 minutes. Works well. Thanks for following up
