Hi everyone! I am trying to set up a Zap between Basecamp and Jira and have figured out how to create a ticket in Basecamp and have it reflected into Jira. What I am having difficulty with, is if I add an image into the Basecamp description, how do I get that image translated into the Jira ticket too? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, transferring images directly from a Basecamp description to a Jira ticket via Zapier isn’t fully supported, as Zapier typically handles text fields better than file attachments or embedded media. A common workaround is to upload the image to a cloud service (like Google Drive or Dropbox), then include the shareable link in the Basecamp description—Zapier can then pass that link into the Jira ticket description.

Hi @nzf2025,

To include images from Basecamp descriptions in Jira tickets via Zapier, ensure the image URLs are properly extracted and mapped to Jira fields. Since Jira allows attachments, but direct uploads via Zapier may be complex, consider including URLs in a text field or comment. If needed, use Zapier's Formatter tool to parse image URLs and verify compatibility with Jira's custom fields or API. Test the integration with sample tickets to ensure correct data transfer. If direct attachment isn't feasible, explore workarounds or seek assistance from Basecamp or Jira support.

I hope this helps resolve the issue. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.

Thank you all! I uploaded my photos to a Dropbox folder and found a way to integrate it.

Wow! Thank you for sharing your resolution got the Zap running. This will significantly help our Community members to have as a reference for the same issue.
