Hi Team,

I’m seeking your assistance to deploy an automation via Zapier.

Currently, we’d like to send a Slack message to a specific channel whenever a SafetyCulture inspection is conducted using a template that includes a service history-related question, and the response is flagged, such as No, Minimal, or Partial service history.

The challenge:

There are multiple templates, each with different wording and logic based on the team’s specific requirements.

Examples:

Template A
Question: Service History
Options: No Service History, Minimal Service History, Partial Service History, Full Service History
The first three are considered flagged responses.

Template B
Question: Service History / Digital History
Logic:

If “Service history/logbooks in vehicle” is selected → a sub-question appears with options:
None/very minimal (flagged), Partial, Full

If “No logbooks in vehicle” is selected → this is also a flagged response.

Template C
Question: Are the service history booklets present and up to date (if applicable)?
Flagged response: No

My Question:

Can this be implemented using a single Zap, or will we need to create separate Zaps for each template due to the variation in structure and logic?

Appreciate your guidance on the best approach.

Hey @yasithan,

This can probably be implemented in Single Zap as long as you need a single trigger. You can use Paths in Zapier. Here is a helpful article about Paths in Zapier- https://help.zapier.com/hc/en-us/articles/8496288555917-Add-branching-logic-to-Zaps-with-Paths. Hope it helps!

Hi @yasithan 👋 How did you get on with Sparsh’s suggestion - did Paths do the trick?

Keep us posted on how it goes, want to make sure you’ve got everything sorted!
